History

Exclusive hospitality with tradition and heart

Located at the foot of Kassel’s famous Bergpark (municipal park in a hilly scenery) four very special stars shine for you: a privately owned and managed house rich in tradition with a distinctive sense of exclusiveness and the experience of four generations.

In 1879 Conrad Fischer already knew how to please his guests at the Habichtswald lookout tower with delicacies and refreshment – hikers as well as the bogyguards of the Kurfürst (the then electoral prince). Very soon this friendly tavern guarded by eleven beech trees advanced to a well-known place for visitors and local people to go for an outing. Today a well-kept hotel, restaurant and tourist café, „Elfbuchen“ (eleven beeches), is offering excellent service for you with a wide range of supplies.

Since 1983 we are able to welcome our guests also in the Kurparkhotel at the Wilhelmshöher Allee, another extraordinary location. A team of 30 attentive employees is happy to take care of you, and make your stay with us a unique experience. With first-class service, courteous support and heartfelt friendliness.

Tip!
We are happy to arrange a trip into the history of our house. Visit our café „Elfbuchen“ in the woods including a horse-drawn carriage tour through the „Bergpark“. Please ask at the reception for an arrangement.
